Starting To Feel Like Fall

Can you feel it? The cool night air, the chilly mornings? It's starting to feel like fall! Ok, ok, I know you summer lovers are clinging to the final days of August but I am soooo ready to let these hot days go.

It's usually around this time of year that I start thinking about what summer clothing I can use in this tricky transitional season and what new fall items I need to bring in. I, like so many other women, struggle with buying jeans. There is no greater feeling than a perfectly fitting jean, it's like finding your Prince Charming. And just like in the search for your prince, you have a kiss a few toads, which is exactly what searching for a great fitting pair of jeans feels like.

My last pair of jeans ended up quite thread bare and it was time to replace them. Problem was I paid over $100 for my Mavi jeans and with the expensive back to school season upon us, I was not in the mood for that. I found the perfect mix of comfort and price at The Gap. I bought a pair of True Skinny Ankle jeans with some distressing (holes around the knees) and the fit is perfect (I'm a size 31 for reference).

Sunday morning was rather cool but I knew that would change by the afternoon (which is a sign that fall is near!) so I wore this jeans with a tank top and green sweater over my shoulder (not shown as by they time I shot these photos it was blazing hot!). The jeans are surprisingly light so I wasn't too hot wearing them throughout the day.

The garden centre near me was having their annual half off sale and I was in search of a few new plants. I managed to get a new boxwood for my backyard and some quick growing ground cover for a front garden. Once we got home I changed out of my flats and into runners, sprayed some more SPF and away I went gardening. The sun set earlier than it did the night before and you could smell that sweet night air that tells you summer is starting to wind down. While I will be sad to see Summer 17 end, I am more than excited to see what Fall 17 holds!
