The Celebrating This Life shop is coming soon!

I announced our fingers-crossed-hope-everything-works-out-as-planned opening date of April 1st on Instagram this morning (make sure you're follow for the latest info!)

I've been dreaming of running a shop that carries all the things I love for some time. It's been one of those things that I would get all excited about and then real life would get in the way and I'd put it on the backburner. Two summers ago I started collecting all the blue and white, vintage dresses and decor I could get my hands on. When I stood back I had this wonderful collection of classic pieces and then two amazing things happened...

I took on my first professional styling assignment and the term "Grandmillenial" was coined by House Beautiful magazine.

For my styling assignment, I worked with the very talented interior design team at Kendra Bester Design to inject some blue and white into a recently renovated home. Kendra took an outdated oak kitchen and turned it into a wonderfully classic yet modern space.

And the world took notice! The home was featured on Livabl, a North American website that focuses on trends in real estate and decor. They wanted to film and interview Kendra for their website and Kendra asked me to step in to help style the place for the video. Having someone as talented as Kendra believe in my abilities was a huge boost! You can watch the video HERE

A few months after that we were introduced to the name of Grandmillennial

There's a growing group that is in love with all the classics. Lots of colour, fabrics, and all things homey. Needlepointing is back. Floral printed dresses are flying off the shelves.

“I think a ‘grandmillennial’ is really a ‘New Traditionalist’—someone who has an appreciation for the past,” explains Manhattan-based interior designer Ariel Okin

Now feels like the right time to open a shop. Especially for my fellow Canadians that are struggling to find classic decor for their homes. I've got you covered. There will be vases for flowers, tableware to style your own tablescape, bathroom accessories, small and large items to create the perfect vignette on your coffee table and classic and vintage clothing from your favourite name brands and designers.
